Remote working desk

Remote working is booming, which is no wonder given COVID-19 and the digital opportunities the 21st century offers. But this new way of working brings its own major challenges: structuring work, setting up the right technical infrastructure at home and maintaining a good work-life balance.

If this ‘home’ is in the same country as the company the employee works for, remote working is relatively simple. It becomes more complex if you or your employee wants to work from another country. Because anything that can be done at home, can obviously also be done from a desk in Rome, on Ibiza, or in a charming little cottage in rural England.

Sounds like a dream? Experiencing another culture, gathering inspiration in new surroundings and, in the meantime, being able to improve your talents. But working abroad gives rise to challenging issues. Examples include employment law, insurance, social security, pension and possibly consequences for your disposable income.
